After a bad development team, Natalie Blackburn came to Interexy, and she first wanted us to just review the app they crafted. However, we quickly realized that the app lacked functionality, and we decided to create a new one from scratch. The CookBook has to become her main income, so we started the development as soon as possible.
The CookBook is an application designed for people worldwide to help them easily find any food recipes based on personal preferences and even food found in their fridge. The main idea of the application is to bring customers a large base of tastiest recipes and chefs an opportunity to show what they can cook. Since the client wanted to make CookBook the main income, we decided that the app would be monetized by adding a premium version.
We start the process by identifying the main requirements and creating prototypes to show the client what we’ve done. The CookBook contains the following main features:
While basic users can create their own recipes and share them with others, chefs have different accounts and can participate in the competition where users rate their recipes. In addition, we add convenient notifications so users can stay informed about the best tips from the chefs. The most popular feature of CookBook is customized recipes. This means users can create a delicious dish by using advanced search according to what they have in the fridge.
